Bug Watch: Grading Issues

Valencia Bug Watch LinkAs we continue to address issues with Blackboard and learn about current bugs for Blackboard Learn 9.1, we would like make sure all our faculty are aware of what they are and possible workarounds. This week we focus on a couple bugs happening while grading in Blackboard 9.1.

“Save and Next” Error in IE

Bug: Error when clicking on “Save and Next” when grading in the Grade Center utilizing Internet Explore as a browser, typically grading assignments and tests.

Solution: Utilize another browser for grading, Firefox 3.6 is currently recommended for Blackboard Learn 9.1.

Student Dropped Submitted Assignment Error

Bug: Error when trying to access a submitted assignment, regardless of browser. Check to determine if the students has been dropped or student’s access has been disabled from the course. If students submits an assignments prior to being dropped or access disabled, the instructor gets an error when trying to access that assignment. The submitted assignment cannot be removed from the “Needs Grading” area in Grade Center.

Solution: No current workaround from Blackboard

    Love your Bb9 blog, but that bug is freakin’ me out :o) Guess a cute little ladybug wasn’t appropriate for the irritation involved in troubleshooting Bb9’s issues… I can understand that. Hummm… what about a caterpillar… quite destructive when in the larvae stage, but with work and effort can blossom into a beautiful… well, you know.

    Anyway, thanks again for the efforts here!
